We welcome applications from current Band 6's and experienced Band 5's with a passion for respiratory physiotherapy, with experience in acute care across multiple specialities, who are motivated to learn and progress. You will be supported by Team Leaders and Deputy Team Leaders on each rotation to develop core respiratory assessment & treatment skills.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates should:
* Have a BSc, MSc or Grad Dip in Physiotherapy
* Be HCPC registered
* Have great communication & interpersonal skills
* Be able to provide a comprehensive Physiotherapy service to patients with a wide range of cardio-respiratory conditions in all settings
* Be able to build on developed Physiotherapy skills & consolidate specialist skills in cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy required to manage these patient groups via 6-month rotational system
Main Duties of the Job
Become part of our innovative team covering inpatient and outpatient services including our on-call, twilight and weekend working provision. Rotations are in the following areas: Transplant & Cardiac Surgery, Thoracic & PEA Surgery, Cardiology, Intensive Care Unit, Respiratory Support and Sleep Centre (RSSC) and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Respiratory Medicine Wards and outpatient clinics (including Bronchiectasis, ILD, & Pulmonary Hypertension) and Cystic Fibrosis.

Qualifications

Experience
* Clinical pillar
* Experience managing cardiorespiratory patients independently, including critical care, medical and surgical patients
* Knowledge of common cardiac & respiratory conditions, demonstrate sound clinical reasoning and planning of treatment options
* Experience of respiratory management and rehabilitation in complex patients
* Ability to work independently and prioritise own workload and delegate effectively to others
* Experience of on call and weekend working
* Experience of supervision & mentorship of junior staff and/or students
* Ability to work autonomously and be a team player
* Evidence of excellent communication skills, including verbal, non-verbal and written
