Please note you are only eligible to apply for this role if:
1. You have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years (there are some exceptions to this, so applicants will need to be considered on a case-by-case basis as required).
2. You are not in full time compulsory education.
3. You are able to meet the entry requirements of the qualification and to undertake the studying and coursework required to complete the course.
The Job Role
As an Arborist, you will learn how to:
1. Use and maintain a chainsaw
2. Fell and process trees
3. Climb trees using a rope and harness, and using elevated platforms
4. Learn to recognise different types of trees and shrubs
5. Identify and manage pests, diseases and tree defects
You will work towards a Level 2 Arborist Apprenticeship.
We'd like to hear from you if you are:
1. Interested in tree care and maintenance
2. Able to work at heights
3. Wanting to continue to develop educationally while learning on the job
4. Good at working as part of a team
You will need:
1. 2 GCSEs in Maths and English
2. To demonstrate an interest in tree maintenance
3. Good communication skills
4. Knowledge of health and safety and how it applies to the role
