Yarl’s Wood IRC (Immigration Removal Centre) is a fully contained residential centre housing adult women and adult family groups awaiting immigration clearance. We focus on decency and respect in all aspects of care for our residents and use continuous innovation to further improve and develop our service. Within the centre we accommodate an everchanging population from a variety of backgrounds, all with different faiths, beliefs, and cultural values.
Here at Serco, we have an exciting opportunity for a brand-new role as a Training Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will provide secure, effective and efficient clerical/administrative support to the training lead and your day-to-day duties and responsibilities will include the following:
* Coordinate and schedule Training Sessions.
* Maintain accurate training records and databases by inputting data on spreadsheets which will include Excel Spreadsheets.
* Provide administrative support to trainers and trainees.
* Monitor and evaluate training programmes to ensure they meet the DSO and company requirements.
* Develop a good working relationship with current staff.
* To ensure a high level of security and confidentiality is maintained in relation to data residents, and that all information, both written and verbal, is treated confidentially.
* To assist with the organisation and administration of meetings/events, as and when required.
* To attend as minute taker at events, meetings or as required.
* To contribute to the delivery and achievement of all performance measures, contract outcomes and locally agreed targets including KPIs.
* To undertake any other administrative duties that are required which are within your area of competence.
What you need to do the job:
* We are looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* It is essential that you have excellent computer and typing skills and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite and excel.
* You should ideally have experience of minute taking.
* You must have the ability to work flexibly and to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
* It is important that you can work well independently as well as part of a team.
* Experience of learning management systems is desirable.
