As a team, we have been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark, which reflects the high standard of care given to the patients under our care. We believe patients and their carers are at the center of good care and we foster a collaborative approach. Full training is provided for the access and use of peripheral inserted central catheters (PICC lines), port-a-caths, and Hickman lines, along with PDN supervision and training with cancer care medications, devices, IT systems, and equipment.
Responsibilities include:
1. Carrying out clinical practice within designated clinical areas.
2. Ensuring high quality, current evidence-based nursing assessment, care planning, implementation, interventions, and evaluations for patients from admission through to discharge.
3. Acting as an advocate for patients to ensure a patient-oriented approach to care delivery.
4. Meeting standards within the NHS Plan and other relevant guidelines.
