Are you an experienced financial planning professional with a passion for providing tailored financial advice? Our client is a directly authorised financial planning firm with offices across the UK. Due to an internal promotion and an advisor retiring they are seeking a Senior Financial Advisor to take over a book of clients and enhance the team by offering exceptional financial planning advice to HNW individuals in their Somerset office. The firm offers a holistic approach to individuals, households and businesses and is looking for an experienced advisor who has a proven track record generating and developing their own clients. Responsibilities: Identify and generate new clients/client opportunities Think creatively about client development opportunities and new client leads Maintain high standards of information analysis and research to build strong relationships to truly understand client needs and make suitable recommendations Deal with new and existing clients, providing appropriate financial advice that is compliant with legislation and FCA rules, being their trusted partner Full compliance with FCA and other regulations, FSMA, the Consumer Duty, fair treatment of clients (embracing amongst other things service excellence, suitability of advice and protection of clients’ assets) Upholding competent status and continued professional development and standing requirements, identifying new areas of development Maintain an awareness of all relevant trends in the private client wealth management sector and financial services as a whole, developing and following through policy changes arising from insights gained Develop network with key industry contacts and stakeholders Ensure accuracy in using appropriate systems and controls and adhering to KPIs agreed. The successful candidate is likely to be level 6 qualified in Financial Planning or a Chartered Financial Planner from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), but they will consider level 4. Preferable would be to hold Competent Adviser Status (CAS) and SPS credentials. Other skills and attributes will be possessing in-depth expertise in retirement planning, investments, protection and tax products. You must have a strong background in growing and retaining a book of clients.
