Our client, a well-established and reputable Civil Engineering Main Contractor with an annual turnover of £100 million, is seeking to recruit an experienced Site Engineer to join their civil engineering team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in the East of Scotland.
Role Overview:
As the Site Engineer, you will work closely with the management team to organise daily site operations and ensure all work complies with Health and Safety regulations. A key aspect of the role will involve taking responsibility for setting out and surveying on a range of civil infrastructure contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
Setting out for construction works.
Ensuring projects are delivered safely and in adherence to strict Health and Safety protocols.
Coordinating, managing, and monitoring site staff and subcontractors.
Administering and maintaining Quality Assurance records on-site.
Checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
Supporting the Project Manager, Site Agent, and performing other site engineering duties as required.
Liaising with both management and the client.
Essential Requirements:
Educated to degree or HNC level in a relevant civil engineering discipline.
Previous experience working as a Site Engineer with a civil engineering contractor.
Experience working on Scottish Power projects is desirable.
Proven experience in setting out for groundworks and infrastructure projects.
A valid CSCS card is essential.
Full UK driving licence.
