Project Engineer

About the job:
Intervl Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading solar energy company that is committed to delivering sustainable energy solutions. The company focuses its efforts on three core areas: Biomass, Wind, and Solar power.
Responsibilities:
1. Site Management:
Supervise and manage the on-site installation of Solar PV systems, ensuring adherence to project plans, designs, and specifications. Enforce and comply with Construction Design Management Regulations. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
2. Health and Safety:
Implement and uphold health and safety policies to meet Zero accident and incident goals. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, briefs, and Toolbox talks to ensure regulatory and company standard compliance. Lead safety meetings and training sessions for on-site personnel.
3. Quality Management:
Utilize the company Quality Management System to maintain quality control procedures, ensuring that installation work meets required standards. Conduct inspections and tests to verify material quality and workmanship. Document and report quality issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
4. Technical Support:
Assist the Sales team with site surveys to determine requirements for successful tendering. Provide technical guidance and support to the installation team. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the installation process. Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including daily reports, safety logs, and quality control records, reporting to the responsible Project Manager. Prepare and present project status reports to management and clients.
6. Stakeholder Management:
Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to address concerns and ensure satisfaction. Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders.
7. Other Responsibilities:
Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge to keep pace with new developments and learn the design and layout of solar installations. Demonstrate a positive attitude towards learning and developing a broad range of skills. Share knowledge and skills with team members. Be flexible to travel and work away from home when required. Assist in other duties related to the role. Understand Health and Safety requirements and Construction Design Management Regulations 2015.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
1. Ideally, possess an HND/Degree in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
2. Safety and Quality Driven.
3. Hold SMSTS Certificate.
4. CSCS Card holder.
5. Current First Aid training.
6. Fire Marshal certification.
7. Proven track record in managing complex projects.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
9. Able to manage own workload effectively.
10. Experience in:
1. Solar Generation Plant installation.
2. LV & HV knowledge for grid connections.
3. G100 / G99 process.
