At PwC, our Managed Services team delivers comprehensive tax compliance and advisory services through a human-led, tech-powered approach. We're a trusted partner for our clients, delivering a seamless and collaborative service.
The Business Partnering role is key, requiring skilled relationship builders with broad tax knowledge and a pragmatic approach. This team acts as an extension of our clients' in-house tax teams, often working on-site as tax managers or directors. They are the primary point of contact, understanding the client's business and coordinating PwC's services. On larger projects, they may lead a team covering various taxes, effectively functioning as in-house Tax team members or Heads of Tax.
Our Business Partnering professionals work across diverse clients and technical areas, with opportunities to specialise. They collaborate with our Compliance Centre of Excellence and receive continuous development and mentorship.
What your days will look like
1. Manage a portfolio of clients - Serving as the primary contact for day-to-day tax matters and compliance. Sharing insights and problem-solving. Proactively engaging with your client stakeholders to discuss new projects, business updates, and technical changes.
2. Identify tax changes affecting clients and provide tailored recommendations and insights.
3. Serve as the main contact for tax technical queries, including compliance obligations, tax accounting, reporting, and corporation tax returns.
4. Coordinate all PwC services, integrating specialist support and implementing advice for clients.
5. Lead and develop a team of junior staff, contributing to the growth and profitability of the practice.
This role is for you if;
1. You have strong UK corporate tax skills.
2. Must possess a tax professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ATT, CTA, ACCA (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
3. You have a highly developed client service ethos and ability to adopt a flexible approach to meeting client needs. You're able to establish, build and maintain a good working relationship with a range of stakeholders and senior client personnel.
4. You manage and build new business through referrals, networking and spotting client opportunities.
5. You're an effective delegator and strong coach for more junior staff.
