Job Title: Manufacturing Project Manager - known internally as Start Up Leader / Line Lead
Location: Billingham (Home of McCoy's, Wheat Crunchies, Pombear and more)
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Start Up Leader to join our Manufacturing & Production department at KP Snacks. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the start-up phase of a new process and wrapping line, ensuring smooth operations and successful implementation. After this phase, the candidate will then be the Line Lead of that area.
What will you be doing?
1. Delivery of Vertical Start Up (VSU) for new production facility.
2. Lead for manufacturing readiness for the project.
3. Deliver Commissioning, Qualification and Verification within a food manufacturing environment using Intersnack Work Systems and the Initiative Management Pillar.
4. Manage and control the VSU process.
5. Own staffing and resourcing for start-up support.
6. Lead communication with operations on progress against VSU tasks, deliverables, and results.
7. Site operations single point of contact for issue resolution and alignment.
8. Responsible for reporting and tracking for start-ups to all levels of the site team.
9. Deliver project criteria through to close out at Verification stage.
10. Provide coaching and support to the operations team involved in the project.
11. Define and deploy a Technology Transfer and Training plan.
12. Develop effective teamwork with integration within other functions with a one team, one goal approach.
13. Present to all levels on project updates and reviews.
14. Responsibility for pre-production budget and cost tracking up to close out.
15. Coordinate plant level risk mitigation plan with external partners, engineering, and operations.
16. Liaise with the factory leadership team to ensure activities are aligned with IWS Principles and ways of working.
17. Ensure compliance with company standards and statutory regulations.
18. Maintain health, safety, environment, and housekeeping standards, identifying and acting on hazards and unsafe practices.
19. As Line Lead, manage a 24/7 team to deliver Key Performance Indicators, working closely with your Process Lead and Maintenance Lead.
20. Drive breakthrough results using a PDCA approach.
21. Use Lead tools and principles to lock in results.

Job Requirements
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
1. Experience of working within a food manufacturing/production environment and/or FMCG.
2. Experience of working within a Project Team.
3. Operational Management experience in a food manufacturing environment.
4. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques/IWS ways of working.
5. Understanding of Project management tools.
6. Cost Centre Management, Budgeting and Forecasting.
7. Knowledge of legislative requirements and responsibilities relating to Health, Safety, and Environmental issues.
8. Understanding of Food Safety Legislation.
9. Working with Quality Management Systems.
