We are recruiting for a Despatch Operative Team Member for our Marshalls Stockton-on-Tee site. Working part-time on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday between the hours of 7 am-5 pm, 30 hrs per week. Salary: £18,720 excluding overtime premium.
The role will be supported with full training and will involve completing activities such as debriefing drivers, planning transport routes, and general administrative duties to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods as well as providing exceptional customer service and support to colleagues and clients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
How will you contribute?
1. Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles, drivers, and equipment to support efficient and timely delivery of goods to customers across the UK.
2. Ensure that the operation meets the customer service requirements by completing each function to the highest standards.
3. Be responsible for the Health & Safety of yourself and the other Team Members by adhering to safe working practices.
4. Work as part of a multi-skilled team.
5. Co-ordinate Despatch team.
6. Release loads for assembly.
7. Monitor all despatch tasks through to completion.
8. Ensure the loading of each vehicle is completed accurately and on a timely basis.
9. Liaise with Transport Support and Shift Managers.
10. Ensure data maintenance tasks are completed.
11. Ensure due diligence is maintained.
What will you bring?
1. Previous administrative experience is essential.
2. Comfortable navigating Microsoft packages.
3. Ability to follow Safe Systems of Work procedures and follow site Health & Safety regulations.
4. Excellent attention to detail.
5. Effective communication skills.
6. Flexible approach to working shift patterns.
