An exciting opportunity has arisen within Housing & Communities Service Area for a Carers Assessment Worker within Independent Living Services.
Independent Living Services (ILS) support vulnerable adults to live independently at home and connected to their communities, through tailored information, advice and support – enabling people to take control of their own lives.
About the job
The successful candidate will work as a member of the Carers Assessment Team, providing advice, information and assistance to unpaid carers, linking into Health & Social Care Services and referring to other agencies.
What We Are Looking For From You
The successful candidate will have excellent communications and IT skills and experience of working within a Social Care, Health, 3rd Sector or Advice giving environment. You will have a strong track record of managing resources effectively and providing excellent outcomes for customers.
You will need to demonstrate an ability to respond sensitively to individual’s circumstances, as well as having a positive can do attitude.
The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, and Community Languages would be an advantage.
