Social Media & PR Executive
£26,000 - £33,000 Dependent on experience + Excellent Benefits package

We are looking for a Social Media and PR Executive to join our group communications team. You’ll be creative in defining the social media strategy whilst helping increase and drive momentum on pro-active digital PR to increase Peninsula’s brand visibility.
Day-to-day responsibilities
1. Plan, create and schedule original, high-quality content across multiple accounts, including companies within the Group and stakeholders, across all platforms. Experience using a social management platform is essential.
2. Design social media strategies to achieve marketing and PR targets, working alongside the Associate Director of Group PR and Comms.
3. Liaise with writers to ensure content is informative, appealing and sits within our brand guidelines.
4. Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to create social ‘buzz’ around new product launches.
5. Communicate with industry professionals and journalists to create a strong network.
6. Train internal teams to integrate and maintain a cohesive social media strategy.
7. Research and identify new media and digital PR opportunities to raise the profile of the Peninsula Group
8. Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor company reputation.
9. Write comments, press releases, blogs, and advice columns on topical subjects to be placed into industry, regional and national publications.
10. Write thought leadership pieces from senior stakeholders for their social media profiles
11. Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting Peninsula Group clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding PR opportunities surrounding them
12. Ensure all copy is delivered to brief, on time, and to the required quality and editorial standards.
13. Monitor media coverage and social media engagement, and report results to the wider team and key stakeholders.
Essential skills
14. Two years minimum experience, including proven work experience as a social media strategist, social media manager, or in a digital PR agency role.
15. PR experience within a healthcare related organisation is desirable but not essential.
16. Experience coordinating social media campaigns and running digital PR campaigns.
17. Proven experience of media relations, with the ability to develop relationships with key contacts and journalists including via social media.
18. Demonstrable track record of successful delivery measured against brand awareness and press coverage.
19. Excellent organisation and project management skills.
20. Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate confidently, professionally, and proactively with a broad range of people.
21. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects in a fast paced and demanding environment.
22. Excellent copywriting skills.
23. Creativity, enthusiasm, curiosity, and a desire to improve.
24. Strong organisation and time management skills.
