To be accountable for the direct delivery of clinical work where there is a frequent requirement for intense concentration and frequent exposure to highly charged emotional circumstance. Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service and assess the appropriateness of therapy for service users, and participate in referral meetings and MDTs. Undertake client-centred interviews which identify areas where the person wishes to see change and or recovery, and make an accurate assessment of risk to self and others. - To use a recognised theoretical framework and specialist knowledge to formulate individual programmes of care. Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the departments referral protocols, and refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary. Formulate, implement and evaluate therapy programmes for clients. Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary.
