The Role
The role of a SEND Teaching Assistant involves working with children with a variety of Special Educational Needs such as Autistic Spectrum conditions. This role requires a highly motivated, adaptable, committed, enthusiastic, and resilient classroom support assistant with great communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting the teacher and pupils. You will have experience working with young people with Special Educational Needs. You will work as part of a dedicated and committed team that has a child-centred approach in all they do.
What You Will Bring to the Role:
* Experience of working with children and young people with SEND in a UK-based school environment.
* Qualifications in relevant areas of SEND training/TA training.
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, ensuring their educational needs are met.
* Assist in the implementation of Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and adapt teaching materials to meet the students' needs.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
* A creative outlook to learning - no two children are the same and our practice should reflect this!
* Ability to travel between schools in Cambridgeshire is desirable, but not essential.
