C & D Foods is one of Europe's leading Own Label Pet food manufacturers producing a range of Wet and Dry Pet foods. C & D Foods has 7 production facilities across 6 Countries (Ireland, Denmark, Austria, Spain, The Netherlands and the UK) and 2 sales offices (Germany and Italy). Our Larkshall site is located in Norfolk, and is one of the major producers of dry Petfood for the business.
The role of IT Administrator is critical on our manufacturing sites in C&D Foods. This role ensures the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure, therefore enabling the maximum manufacturing capability and production. This crucial position involves proactive support, maintenance and planning as well as being able to respond to unplanned events that fall under the ownership of the IT Function.
As well as maintaining a robust daily IT operation, there are plenty of opportunities to assist and also run IT projects as needed.
Collaboration and communication with the other departments on site are key to the success of the person in this role.
We are looking for someone to work around 24 hours per week, and we can be flexible on days and how the hours are spread out. Elements of on call work involved with the role also, for which you will be compensated for.

Key Responsibilities:
1. User Support:
Provide a great user experience using honed problem solving skills to resolve IT requests.
Assist with onboarding and training new employees on IT systems and processes.
2. Hardware Maintenance:
Making sure that all IT equipment maintained proactively to a "fit for purpose" standard, this includes computer hardware, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment as per the site.
Maintaining and managing critical stock levels and replacements.
3. Software Management:
Install, configure, and update software applications.
Ensure the proper licensing and compliance of software used within the manufacturing site.
4. Network Management:
Assist in managing and troubleshooting local area network (LAN) and wireless network issues.
Collaborate with the IT team to maintain network security and data integrity.
5. Security and Data Backup:
Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data.
Regularly back up critical data and ensure disaster recovery plans are in place.
6. IT Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, software licenses, and configurations.
Document and update IT-related procedures and guides for end-users.
7. Vendor and Asset Management:
Coordinate with IT vendors and service providers for procurement and maintenance.
Manage IT assets, including inventory control and tracking.
8. Collaboration and Projects:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT-related projects and initiatives.
Assist in the implementation of new IT systems and technologies.
Personal Competencies and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* Proven experience in IT support, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
* Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and networking technologies.
* Familiarity with manufacturing software systems (e.g., MES, ERP) is a plus.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified) are advantageous.
Pay: £16,800.00-£18,000.00 per year
Expected hours: No more than 24 per week
