As a Driver & Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the service's facilities are fit for purpose, driving staff and service users to local destinations, gardening, and regularly conducting audits to identify and repair any faults ensuring a safe environment for service users, staff, and visitors.
Working alongside an established team, you will turn your hand to all maintenance-related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.

As a Driver & Maintenance Assistant you will be:
* Assisting with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities, and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose.
* Utilising good DIY skills to ensure the safety of service users is maintained.
* Assisting in regular checks and maintenance.
* Assisting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
* Assisting in all decorating.
* Liaising with a manager reporting all faults and defects.
* Coordinating and supporting contractors whilst on site and completing all paperwork and tool checks.
* Ensuring vehicles are kept clean internally and externally.
* Taking control of the routine maintenance of the vehicle.
* Keeping the vehicle clean and carrying out any required checks weekly.
* Delivering high standards of Customer Service.
* Maintaining the perimeter fencing around boundaries.
* Maintaining the grounds including grass cutting, weeding, and hedges.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Comply with system and procedures.
* Hold a UK driver's license.
* Have previous experience within a maintenance role.
* Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
* Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure that they enjoy the highest quality of service.
* Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.

You will be working alongside the clinical teams at Badby Park to care for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries, where you will deliver person-centred care.
