The post holder will be a key member of the Strategic programme for Planned Care and will support the development and delivery of administrative oversight and operations and provide all necessary support to the Directorate.
In addition, they will provide business management, recruitment, risk management, corporate governance and development to the wider strategic programme particularly in support of SPPC Board and associated strategic groups.
Main duties of the job
* Provide management and business support to Strategic programme for Planned Care within the resources available.
* Coordinate and implement cross cover support to office functions within the Strategic programme for Planned Care, to provide and ensure the provision of appropriate support and advice to administration and clerical staff, senior managers and consultants.
* Manage defined business, administrative and strategic projects within the division with the support of teams within the division.
* Manage related finances and routinely prepare business reports to ensure the division is diligent in the execution of its responsibilities and can demonstrate value for money through its deliverables.
* Co-ordinate administrative staff in the management and delivery of support of Board and Strategic Groups in the Strategic programme for Planned Care

Job responsibilities
Provide and receive highly complex, sensitive or contentious information in relation to divisional issues, including projects.
To ensure compliance with the NHS Executive and Strategic programme for Planned Care NHS Trust guidelines, policies, and procedures
Work closely with other managers in the Strategic programme for Planned Care - and where necessary with other managers across the NHS executive Strategic programme for Planned Care to support the effective delivery of tasks and activities.
Liaise with external stakeholders if and when necessary
Liaise directly with finance and human resource staff in relation to corporate issues
Communicate and negotiate with stakeholders over Programme/Service Level Agreements and contracts, including the supply of goods and services
Represent Team at internal and external meetings when required.
Act as the named contact and Team leader for the whole of HP Administrative team and corresponding functions.

* Degree or equivalent qualification or equivalent level of relevant experience
* Evidence of continuing professional development
Experience
* Experience in a supervisory / managerial role.
* Experience of communicating with all levels of professional staff and the public.
* Experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive data and appropriate maintenance and storage of records.
* Experience of producing management information reports
* Experience of project implementation and monitoring ongoing projects.
* Experience of understanding or managing finance systems e.g. budget monitoring.
* Experience of implementing administrative policies and procedures
* Experience of monitoring performance indicators.
* Understanding of project management methodologies
