£26,000 - £32,000 plus per annum
We are recruiting for a Senior Resident Worker for children and young people aged between 8 and 18 with disabilities. The focus is providing the young people a fun and stimulating service in a safe, friendly, and homely environment.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Residential Worker who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people and children! This is an extremely rewarding and exciting opportunity.
As this is a senior position you will be a shift leader who oversees the activities whilst on shift. You will receive training and supervision to support your personal development.
You will receive

Development and career progression
Work towards gaining your Level 5 Diploma, fully funded and supported. Clear pathways for progression into roles such as Team Leader, Service Co-ordinator, Home Manager or Area Manager.
As the Senior Residential Worker you'll be:
7. Undertaking the role of shift leading by supporting your colleagues to provide a safe, stimulating and caring environment for children and young people and contribute to the day to day running of the home and ensure the home remains compliant at all times.
8. Taking a lead with case/care planning management for individual children or young people, undertaking assessment of need, developing a care plan, identifying agreed outcomes.
9. Leading and working on shifts with accountability for service delivery, assessing and managing risks, deploying staff and resources accordingly while on shift.
10. Supporting children and young people in all aspects of their care, personal care, administration of medication and clinical procedures.
11. Link working with young people (managing paperwork and files), whilst taking a lead role in organising activities.
12. Knowledgeable and responsible for the safeguarding of young people and an advocate for the wellbeing of the young people.
13. Taking responsibility for inductions, supervisions and appraisals for team members
What You'll Bring:
14. A minimum of Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent such as level 3 Health and Social Care Children and Young People's pathway.
15. Excellent interpersonal skills.
16. Previous experience in leading shifts and supervising staff.
17. Sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding.
