The Role The Finance Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of LHA. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and working closely with the Board, Audit, Risk, and Governance Committee, and key stakeholders, you will lead on financial strategy, planning, and management. Your responsibilities will include overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, risk management, and governance of finance and procurement functions. Additionally, you will support their development and asset management strategies, ensuring projects align with their long-term goals.This role offers a unique blend of strategic leadership and hands-on financial management, allowing you to make a tangible impact on the organisation’s future. The Ideal Candidate LHA are looking for a Qualified or Qualified by Experience accountant with strong leadership and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will be: Strategic and proactive, with the ability to anticipate financial risks and opportunities. Experienced in financial planning, reporting, and compliance within a regulated environment. Adept at managing relationships with auditors, lenders, and statutory bodies. Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with loan covenants. An effective communicator with the ability to present complex financial information to Boards and committees. Committed to the values and mission of Lochaber Housing Association. Experience in the housing sector is desirable but not essential. More importantly, they seek a finance professional who is adaptable, forward-thinking, and eager to drive positive change.
