This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our professionally challenging and rewarding criminal justice teams. You will have personal qualities, professional skills, and knowledge which will be applied and tested in all aspects of service delivery within a busy criminal justice team. Work will include interventions with those convicted of high-risk sexual and violent offences.
You will manage criminal justice throughcare, licences, and community orders. This will include undertaking appropriate assessments, case management, and recording and monitoring work using electronic case recording systems.
It is essential that you have a BA (Hons) in Social Work or equivalent; be registered with the SSSC and committed to social work values. You will have effective interpersonal, communication, IT, assessment, and writing skills; be able to work as part of a team, on your own initiative, and on a multi-agency basis, and have a flexible approach.
Experience in client supervision, undertaking individual work, and co-working is essential.
Experience of interventions with those with a range of issues such as addiction, housing, and employability issues is desirable, as is experience of writing reports to courts. Having undertaken and passed training in risk assessment tools such as LSCMI, SA07, and RM2000 is desirable.
As this post involves access to ViSOR, IT information system, and/or involvement in MAPPA cases, preferred candidates will be required to undergo Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) at Level 2.
