Main Responsibilities for the role:
1. Provide an effective and efficient HR and recruitment service to managers and team members
2. Work with managers to manage the recruitment process for a caseload of vacancies
3. Contribute to the development and delivery of procedures for maintaining and managing employee and general data, including supporting our PeopleHR HR Information System and associated processes
4. Follow a case management approach to track employee relations issues
5. Support managers with dealing with performance management issues and processes
6. Work with specific managers to provide them with proactive advice and guidance on HR issues
7. Contribute to the monthly payroll process as necessary
8. Participate in the HR and recruitment aspects of organisational change programmes
9. Ensure the People Policies Handbook is kept up to date
10. Provide data and reports as required
11. Any other duties commensurate with the role
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Generalist HR knowledge and experience (including recruitment, performance management, and general HR management principles)
2. Proactive approach, with the ability to identify issues and develop solutions
3. Strong organisation skills: able to plan and co-ordinate work within the team and deliver on time
4. Excellent ICT skills (particularly Microsoft Excel) with a positive approach to technology
Desirable Skills and Experience:
1. Level 5 CIPD qualification (or equivalent) or working towards
2. A legal sector background is not required; however, experience of working in professional services would be beneficial
