The Region Projects Services Sourcing will lead and coordinate sourcing operations and will be the single point of contact to the Region and Business Line for all 3rd party sourcing within region projects & services activity in backlog and tender pipeline. You will actively drive our ambitious deflation & cost out targets for 3rd party sourcing & logistics in accordance with Business Line Sourcing strategy and will develop a regional sourcing & logistics strategy. Job Description Essential Functions / Responsibilities - Connect sourcing imperatives with the business line strategies to support revenues and profitable growth. - Understand and address market dynamic, trends and how they impact GE Vernova customers, suppliers, competitors and the company in terms of price, cash, production costs, global capacity, lead time, internal and supplier capability, barriers to entry and supplier buyer leverage points. - Participate proactively with the tendering & projects team and support the team in winning the tender optimising 3rd party costs on Projects / Services activity. - Understand sourcing risks, perform risk assessments of supply base and formulate mitigation strategies. - Executes and Drive margin expansion on existing Backlog. - Drive sourcing projects from ITO to OTR in collaboration with the respective stakeholders. - Drive key sourcing and business metrics including cost, cash, supplier quality and fulfilment OTD metrics in line with operating plan targets. - Optimise cash-out effort and increase suppliers Days To Pay. - Implement continuous improvement activities in all areas of responsibility to improve operating performance. - Conduct supplier negotiations to resolve issues and achieve business outcomes in full collaboration with BL Sourcing leader. - Actively participate in supplier performance reviews. - Ensure supply Chain continuity through appropriate Sourcing strategy (3rd party materials dual sourcing, supplier dual sourcing). - Spend time on Project Purchase planning, sourcing of new suppliers as per the consolidated need of the business. procurement as and when requested by business. - Work closely with Engineering, Field Services, Project management and logistics functions to generate cost out ideas. - Active participation to generate and benefit of the Sourcing synergies within the worldwide GA Sourcing Team. - Monitor supplier Performances (Capacity, Financial, OTD & Quality). - Identify and select the best available Sourcing strategy between clusters within the region. - Develop new suppliers according to the global quality Team requirements and validation. - Work closely with BL Sourcing Leader to ensure process implementation. - Generate frequent RFQs to current and new potential suppliers to ensure competitivity. - Work closely with sourcing / competitivity leads at cluster as well as global level. Hierarchy - The Region Project Sourcing lead reports Hierarchically to the Regional Operational leader and dotted line to the BL sourcing leader. Qualifications / Requirements Graduate degree from an accredited university or college certification, with extensively demonstrated years of experience in a Sourcing role, ideally within Project environment encompassing activity within Grid Automation portfolio: - Protection & Control. - Substation Automation. - Monitoring & Diagnostics. - Telecommunication. Desired Characteristics - Negotiation Expertise. - Advanced oral and written communication skills. - Significant interpersonal and leadership skills. - Ability to influence others and lead small teams. - Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact. - Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously. - Effective problem identification and solution skills. - Proven analytical and organizational ability. - English Fluent; French or Spanish would be advantage. - Ability to travel (up to 40% for the first 6 months & thereafter 25%). - Ability to work with several different Teams (sourcing, procurement, logistic, engineering, tender, ).
