Exciting Opportunity: Group Management Accountant Hours: Full time. 39 hours per week. Salary : Between £30,000- £40,000 per annum. Location : Inverness. Role Highlights: This role will assist the Finance Director and Finance Manager in providing a first class and comprehensive finance function to underpin and support all group activities, by taking responsibility for the key processes shown below. Key Responsibilities: Management accounting Prepare group management accounts to first draft in accordance with tight reporting timetable Process and finalise review adjustments Maintain adequate working papers to support management accounts Prepare client working papers for auditors and work with audit team on relevant entities Communicate and interpret financial data to non-financial managers Monthly cost analysis to ensure expenditure in line with budget Cash management Continued involvement in the following cash management tasks Prepare weekly batch settlement payment runs on basis of perceived priority, and as information and cash resources allow Deal with all ad-hoc requests for payment as they arise Compliance Assist with routine compliance tasks and requirements VAT report preparation and filing Office of National Statistics Ad-hoc responsibilities Assist with the submission of Grant claims Assist in establishing and maintaining an adequate system of internal controls in the finance function Support finance team with queries and training Other project work and ad-hoc tasks as and when required Required Experience & Skills: Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS/ACA) or Part Qualified Excellent analytical and numerical skills Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Good communication and organisational skills Strong Excel skills and general IT knowledge and experience What can you expect: Generous staff discount on over 10,000 product lines in-store.
