Fire Response UK is a Bedfordshire based company that offers a Nationwide service. Most of our work is local to Bedfordshire and the Midlands. We install, commission and service fire alarm and AOV systems. The company is constantly growing and diversifying, hence the need for another Engineer.
We have a diverse client base that includes Schools, Retail, and Office areas. However, our specialist area is within industrial and Distribution Centres.
The Job:
We require a full-time trainee, who is capable of working independently (following induction and necessary training).
Responsibilities:
1. Installations, commissioning and servicing of equipment and systems.
2. Submit associated administration and paperwork promptly.
3. Work as part of a team and participate in the call-out rota.
A competitive package is offered for the right person that includes transportation, pension and salary to be negotiated, and will be based on a 40-hour working week plus overtime / call-out.
The Candidate:
Must have a willingness to learn and some relevant experience for installation and site work.
Knowledge of conventional and addressable fire systems is desirable.
Full training will be given for the addressable panels that we favour, as well as other areas that are deemed necessary.
Other desirable skills (although not essential) will include knowledge of:
* Fire Extinguisher servicing
* Emergency Lighting and Safety Signage
* Sprinkler and Suppression Systems
The position includes the full-time use of a company van, company pension scheme, and holiday entitlement.
