Engineering/Maintenance Manager
Location: Thurmaston, Leicester
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Engineering @ 365 is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturer, for an Engineering/Maintenance Manager. With two sites in Leicester and a long history of industry leadership, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee a multi-site team, ensuring equipment uptime, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team of engineers across two sites, ensuring they deliver to the highest standards in health and safety, productivity, and maintenance.
* Develop and implement a structured Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programme to maximise equipment availability and efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation (e.g. ATEX, LOLER, ISO 9001) across both sites.
* Manage and reduce energy usage through process optimisation and strategic projects.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
* Manage capital investment projects from proposal to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budget.
* Oversee key facilities management services, such as utilities, compressed air systems, and waste disposal.
* Ensure all plant and equipment are safe to operate, compliant with regulations, and meet the business's needs.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Engineering or Maintenance Manager in a manufacturing environment, ideally with multi-site responsibility.
* Strong knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation in an engineering or manufacturing setting.
* Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
* Strong project management skills, with experience managing large capital projects.
* Ability to identify risks (Health & Safety, Service, Quality) and implement effective strategies to mitigate them.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
* Competent user of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), particularly Agility, and experience in data management.
* Flexibility to meet the evolving needs of the business, and a calm, structured approach to leadership and problem-solving.
