Job Description: We are seeking dedicated and compassionate support staff to join our team starting in September. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in providing assistance and guidance to students, enabling them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support students with special educational needs (SEN) in accessing the curriculum and participating in school activities.
2. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance with their learning.
3. Assist teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies and maintaining a positive learning environment.
4. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualized support plans for students with specific needs.
5. Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and external stakeholders to promote student well-being and academic success.
Requirements:
6. Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
8. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development of young people.
9. Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the diverse needs of students and the school community.
10. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
