Job title: Lead Business Analyst

This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for Lead Business Analyst who will play a major role with the technical design and development of company’s technical offerings. The position is based at our Leicester office with occasional assignments at client locations.
Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
Lead the delivery of high-profile projects, including overseeing the entire process from inception to successful delivery and acceptance by end-users.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, project management, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered within scope, on time, and to specification.
Develop user-facing functional requirement documents using various techniques and ensure clear communication with stakeholders.
Produce detailed business requirements in conjunction with clients, ensuring accurate scope definition to prevent scope creep.
Regularly review and refine documents with stakeholders to avoid misinterpretation and ensure alignment with business goals.
Lead the IBOR project, focusing on trade capture, matching, settlement, cash forecasting, intraday holdings, accounting, reconciliation, and regulatory adherence.
Create and manage project scope, timelines, and documentation for the IBOR initiative, working closely with stakeholders and clients.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Work alongside development teams to break down changes into manageable features and produce user stories and detailed design documentation in JIRA.
Lead meetings and ensure that the final delivery aligns with business needs, providing value and being fit-for-purpose.
Assist QA teams in defining acceptance criteria, preparing test data, executing tests, and defining regression test packs for each release cycle.
Ensure that all deliverables meet the specified acceptance criteria and manage changes effectively.
Lead the design and implementation of reporting applications for a new Investor Services Middle Office Outsourcing Platform, focusing on client oversight, fund accounting, and custody positions.
Develop user interfaces and reports that meet the needs of internal and external users, focusing on transaction and holdings reporting for fund accountants and custodians.
Create API connections and bespoke file transmissions to deliver real-time data to clients.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]
10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or related field.
Experience in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau.
Experience with multi-format transaction processing (e.g., SWIFT, XML) and straight-through processing (STP) automation
Expertise in creating detailed business requirement documents and functional specifications.
Strong knowledge of JIRA for managing project features, user stories, and design documentation.
Ability to work in an agile environment, juggling multiple roles including Business Analyst, Scrum Master, and Project Manager.
Proficiency in developing and delivering training, documentation, and process improvements to facilitate smooth transitions and post-implementation success.
Familiarity with designing client oversight portals and investment management dashboards for real-time performance tracking.
Knowledge of tools such as Blueprint, MS Visio, SWOT, Trello
Experience in relational Database such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
Proficient in software methodologies like SDLC Model, Component Assembly Model, Prototype Model, JAD Model, RAD Model, Spiral Model, Scrum, Agile Model, Waterfall Model etc.
Proficiency in using business analysis tools such as JIRA, MS Office Suite, confluence or other similar tools for requirement management and collaboration.
Strong understanding of APIs, web services, and data formats (e.g., JSON, XML, REST).
IIBA Certification in Business analysis is preferred.
Experience in creating documentation like Business Requirements Document (BRD), Functional requirement specification (FRS)/ Functional Specification Document (FSD) System requirement specification (SRS)/ System Requirement Document (SRD)
Experience with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, JavaScript).
Experience with data analysis, including creating reports, dashboards, and interpreting data trends.
