Role Description
The Senior EHS Advisor will be responsible for developing and implementing effective EHS policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, and promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS management, particularly within the manufacturing sector, and be able to balance regulatory compliance with operational efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:
* Developing and implementing EHS policies and procedures.
* Conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
* Ensuring compliance with UK environmental, health, and safety legislation.
* Delivering EHS training programs to employees.
* Investigating accidents and incidents, determining root causes, and implementing preventative measures.
Requirements:
* A relevant professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable.
* At least 5 years of proven experience in EHS management within the manufacturing sector.
* Strong understanding of UK EHS legislation and standards.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with confidence engaging at all organisational levels.
* Proficiency in EHS management systems and software.
* Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
