One of our clients is looking for a buyer to join their team in Leeds. A regional housing construction company with some ambitious but very realistic growth plans.
Responsibilities:
1. Procurement of all materials required for construction/house building and civils projects to ensure they are provided on time and within allocated budgets.
2. Ensuring the profitability of contracts by purchasing or sourcing all Plant and materials in a cost-effective manner.
3. Sourcing of appropriate and adequate Plant and materials for 6 busy social housing projects across North West England and North Wales, from groundworks to super-structure, including procurement and purchase of all Sub-Contractor materials.
4. Negotiation with Suppliers to agree payment terms, resolve invoice queries, and reduce Plant and materials costs where possible with fixed price rates across a wide range of products.
5. Making best use of any surplus materials across projects to reduce waste, avoid damage, and reduce costs to the projects.
6. Liaison with Stakeholders at all levels to ensure all procurement aspects of the Construction Projects are dealt with efficiently and effectively, through Tender stages, Construction Phases, and Handover to Client.
7. Ad-hoc Administration and office duties.
