Position
As an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator, your role will involve supporting the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) team in driving continuous improvements, performance monitoring, and fostering a strong safety culture across the organisation. There will also be a requirement to provide administrative support.
Requirements
* Development of safety communication material such as Safety Alerts, Safety Briefs and other EHS updates; Delivery of short EHS subject awareness sessions (Lunch and Learns).
* To support the EHS Operations Manager with the management of the EHS panel including collation of monthly updates from the consultants; preparation of monthly EHS consultants reporting; spend and workload tracking.
* To support the EHS Compliance Manager with the development, review and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, guidance documents and internal risk assessments.
* To support the Senior EHS Manager with the management of the insurance programme including maintenance of the property damage master tracker and underwriting summaries; instruction and management of reinstatement valuations; and responding to information requests from broker claims management team.
* To support with the management of Info-Exchange, including the regular review of users/sites, data input quality, updating the risk register and the preparation of monthly EHS dashboard reports.
* Maintain the EHS SharePoint, managing authorisations and governing document naming and storage.
* Act as a point of contact for EHS inquiries, providing support to teams and ensuring access to EHS tools and resources.
* To provide general administrative support to the EHS Team, such as arranging meetings and calls with internal and external stakeholders and tracking team workstreams.
Essential Experience and Knowledge (including Education)
* A basic understanding of UK Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
* Experience in a role with health and safety responsibilities; such as, risk assessing, auditing/inspections or policy writing.
* Confidence to deliver short briefs and training sessions, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail, must take pride in the quality of their work.
* Ability to work efficiently and productively, and be able to prioritise work as necessary, manage a diverse workload, work well under pressure and always meet deadlines.
Essential Technical Skills
* Strong IT skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Desirable Experience, Knowledge or Skills
* Environment, Health, Safety, Compliance or Audit related qualifications are advantageous.
* Training and/or experience in using Microsoft SharePoint.
