Derbyshire Lived Experience Career Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity at Derbyshire Recovery Partnership following securing additional funding for someone who is passionate about helping people with lived experience gain additional skills, experience and qualifications to work within the field of substance misuse. This role will involve working across the Derbyshire county with mileage expenses claimed from your nearest office base which can be in Chesterfield, Ripley, Ilkeston or Swadlincote. You will be working 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday 9am-5pm on a permanent contract. The planned start date for this exciting new opportunity is 1st April 2025.
We are looking to strengthen our offer for people affected directly by drug and/or alcohol use, as well as those affected by someone else's use, to help them gain a wealth of training, experience and qualifications alongside receiving 121 and group coaching including interview techniques, IT skills, emotional support. The aim of this role is to upskill and support people to transition into employment and/or volunteering opportunities within the field of substance misuse. As the Lived Experience Career Coordinator you will lead on encouraging and supporting people with a lived experience through a workforce development career pathway and in to employment with drug and alcohol services, recovery services and across the wider sector within Derbyshire.
