As our Payroll Apprentice in Chesterfield, you’ll build and utilise your technical knowledge on a variety of interesting client assignments with the support and guidance of our team, giving you the basics to ensure success in both your professional examinations and your future career. You’ll prepare and process weekly and monthly payrolls to clients’ specifications, whilst studying towards your Level 3 Payroll Administrator Apprenticeship. Over the course of 18 months, you’ll be fully supported in the completion of your apprenticeship, with a training agreement covering the costs and study time associated with your professional training. As this is a trainee position, you will have an opportunity to learn new skills every day whilst being mentored by experienced members of our Payroll Team. General day to day tasks and responsibilities will include the below; • Assisting in processing payrolls for a multitude of clients, ranging in size and pay frequency; weekly, fortnightly, monthly, and annual • Supporting the team with adding new starters, processing leavers, pay adjustments and calculating statutory payments • Completing month end procedures, filing submissions to HMRC • Learning about auto enrolment, and manually calculating pension contributions for a wide range of pension schemes • Providing excellent customer service to our clients to ensure their employees are paid accurately and on time • Support the wider team with general Payroll administrative tasks Our team offers a supportive and friendly environment to help you succeed as you embark on your Payroll journey.
