Salary: Grade 15 - £61,071 - £67,191
Working Hours: 37 per week

ESPO is looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to lead the IT department and oversee ESPO's technology and infrastructure strategy. This includes leadership and operational management of all Information, Communications and Technology systems and services, and continuous improvement within related functions.
About the Role
The successful candidate will lead and coach a high-performing IT team to devise and deliver annual plans that contribute to the organisational strategy. They will play a pivotal role in influencing organisational culture, driving innovation and transformation in conjunction with Heads of Service and the Leadership Team, including leading cross-functional projects and forums. Building positive relationships across the IT team, other departments, and representing ESPO with external stakeholders will be essential.
The main responsibilities for the post include leading, planning, and managing a diverse range of ICT Services to support ESPO's objectives and outcomes, ensuring that financial resources are managed in accordance with financial procedures. You will be responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of ESPO ICT Strategy, ensuring that technological capabilities contribute to and support ESPO's Organisational Strategy. This includes the provision of services relating to ESPO Trading Limited, Eduzone, and other subsidiary organisations. You will also be responsible for the efficient delivery of the annual IT budget, driving cost efficiency both in-house and through external or outsourced technology partners and IT service providers, ensuring appropriate and cost-effective IT functions and capabilities. Additionally, you will oversee the development and delivery of the ESPO ERP solution.
About You
To apply for this post, you must have:
* A degree level qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent level of relevant experience.
* A qualification in project management, change management, or ICT Service Management (ITIL).
* Extensive and proven track record of achievement in a senior ICT management role in a large complex organisation.
* Experience of leading and motivating teams and of developing a culture that has achieved a high level of performance and continuous service improvement.
* Excellent leadership and strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to lead, motivate, and manage others and to be collegiate in their approach to partner organisations and suppliers.
* Proven ability to investigate and diagnose complex technical issues, and to lead investigative efforts during major incidents.
* Extensive working knowledge of IT Infrastructure, including computer systems, networks, security, telecoms, databases, storage systems, cloud and web technologies.
* Knowledge of supply chain and logistics systems.
