Person specification Essential qualifications One of the following: Fully Qualified Consultative Committee Accountancy Bodies (CCAB) or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) with significant post qualification experience; or Qualified by extensive relevant experience at a senior level in financial management including experience of highly complex financial modelling and analysis and/or business partnering. Essential experience Extensive experience of working in financial management, including experience of budget setting, monitoring, and forecasting. Experience of analysing and interpreting highly complex financial information and evaluating the impact on business performance. Experience of developing and using financial databases for complex modelling and analysis. Experience of interpreting, applying and explaining complex financial information in non-routine situations to senior managers and non-finance colleagues. Experience of making recommendations and influencing people to deliver business goals, whilst understanding compliance and risk implications in changing circumstances. Experience of managing own workload, and that of others, delivering multiple priorities with tight and often changing timescales. Extensive and up-to-date specialist knowledge of relevant accounting standards and principles. Excellent computer skills with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and reporting skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build effective relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders.
