Pennine Recruitment (Acting as an employment agency) are delighted to be recruiting for an Export Planner – Road Freight for our Midlands based client on a full time/permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in dealing with third party logistics companies.
Core Responsibilities include:
* Plan and schedule the company’s European outbound operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, customers, vendors, logistics providers, and transportation companies, always ensuring all relevant documentation is in place.
* Ensure carriers meet agreed booking slots by maintaining accurate order ETA’s based on vendor updates. This includes confirmation status updates on CRM.
* Sound understanding of the current export shipping market and the services each haulier has to offer and how it will benefit the business.
* Deliver solutions to outbound logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.
* The planning and coordination of all export road freight service providers in line with operational requirements. This includes liaising with named hauliers to ensure transport is booked and confirmed. This may include interaction with multiple freight management systems.
* Optimise groupage routes via consolidation and use of appropriate partners to ensure export compliance.
* Resolve outbound delivery and audit queries, always ensuring relevant stakeholders are aware and are provided with regular progress updates.
* Provide the necessary administrative support to warehouse operations. This includes the production of relevant export documentation, the release of pick notes and the processing of end-of-day activities.
* Day-to-day maintenance of the shared calendar(s) and mailboxes.
* Identify and resolve any stock inventory discrepancies and ensure system records are in alignment.
* Provide meaningful logistics data and KPI reports to key stakeholders in the organisation to aid customer service and cost improvements.
Hours of Work are typically Day Shifts (Monday - Friday).
The successful candidates can expect:
* A competitive salary (£27k-£33k depending on experience).
* 22 days annual leave per annum + Bank Holidays, increasing with length of service.
