Job Title: Facilities & Sustainability Coordinator Location: Ashridge House, Berkhamsted, HP4 1NS Reports to: Facilities Manager Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
The Opportunity:
Ashridge House is looking for a coordinator with facilities experience and a passion for sustainability to provide an efficient, pro-active and effective administrative service to the Facilities & Maintenance Team.
Our impressive 800 year old building and surrounding grounds provide a unique challenge as we keep all our facilities both in excellent condition, but also to reduce our carbon footprint so that we may best service our community and planet. We are looking for someone keen to join us in this challenge of modernising our property.
Principle Duties:
1. To provide general administrative support to the facilities and maintenance teams, tracking and recording sustainable activities.
2. To maintain inspection and audit records for all facilities
3. To raise purchase order for goods and services
4. To assist in monitoring contractor performance against service levels.
5. to collate an approved contractors list and ensure contractor compliance prior to commencing work on the site.
6. To maintain building safety files and manuals, including training records in a logical and tidy manner
7. Book associated training as directed.
8. Assist in maintaining and updating the COSSH register and audit chemical cupboards accordingly.
Secondary Duties
9. To actively support new ways of working and continuous improvement within the facilities/ maintenance department.
10. To undertake any other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grade of the post, properly directed by the line manager.
