About the role
We are looking for a driven, experienced, and results-oriented Senior Sales Executive to join our growing team in Europe. Based in either London or Amsterdam, this individual will focus on driving sales of Nium's cutting-edge real-time payment infrastructure to banks across the region. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the European banking landscape, established relationships with key stakeholders, and a proven ability to sell complex financial solutions to top-tier financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Leadership: Drive new business opportunities and revenue growth by selling Nium's real-time payment infrastructure to banks and financial institutions across Europe.
2. Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers at banks, leveraging your existing network and establishing trust as a payment infrastructure expert.
3. Strategic Account Management: Own the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring the successful onboarding of new clients.
4. Market Expertise: Stay on top of the latest market trends, regulatory changes, and customer pain points in the European banking sector, using this knowledge to shape your sales approach and solutions.
5. Collaborative Approach: Work closely with internal teams including marketing, product, and customer success to tailor Nium's solutions to meet the unique needs of European banks.
6. Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, contributing to the overall success of Nium’s European operations.
7. Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activity and customer interactions in CRM. Provide regular updates on sales forecasts and opportunities.

1. Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the European banking landscape, payment infrastructure, and financial technology trends, with proven experience selling similar solutions to banks and financial institutions.
2. Sales Acumen: Strong ability to identify and qualify sales opportunities, manage a robust pipeline, and close complex, high-value deals.
3. Network & Relationships: A solid book of business, with established relationships in the banking industry that you can leverage to drive immediate business opportunities.
4. Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex solutions in an understandable, persuasive, and compelling manner.
5. Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated success in negotiating complex contracts and managing long sales cycles.
6. Solution Selling: Ability to identify client pain points and craft tailored solutions that solve real-world business challenges.
7. Autonomous & Results-Driven: Self-motivated with a proactive, goal-oriented mindset, able to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
8. Fluent in English: Knowledge of additional European languages is a plus (French, German, Dutch, etc.).
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in sales, with a focus on selling financial services or payment solutions to banks and financial institutions in Europe.
2. A solid book of business with key contacts in the banking industry, enabling you to hit the ground running and generate immediate opportunities for Nium.
3. At least 5 years of experience in a sales role focused on financial technology, payment infrastructure, or a related field.
4. Strong understanding of real-time payment systems, financial regulations, and banking operations in the European market.
5. Ability to travel as needed across Europe to meet with clients and attend industry events.
6. A results-oriented approach with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
