Our working environment could not be more different from a typical Food & Beverage setting – where else could you stroll among rare giraffes and tigers on your lunch break?
What makes Chester Zoo a great place to work?
As the UK’s biggest and best zoo, we have ambitious goals, exciting plans, and there’s always lots going on here. We’re an inclusive and diverse organisation, made up of nearly 600 permanent and 500 temporary team members.
Each year, we have plenty of exciting temporary opportunities within our Retail, Visitor Operation, Admissions and Food and Beverage teams, to undertake a variety of tasks such as picking stock in our warehouse, stewarding the car parks, working in our gift shops, welcoming guests, or serving food and drinks to our 2 million visitors. No two days will be the same!
The Role:
The Food & Beverage Assistant role will predominantly support our Food & Beverage team. It includes working in fast food restaurants, coffee shops, kiosks, a warehouse, a picnic parlour and a 450 seat street kitchen serving Indonesian inspired food, as well as the Oakfield, which is our award winning British gastro-pub. We are looking for people who are dynamic and flexible to work across these units. The roles include customer service, waiting on, food & drinks preparation, cash handling and ensuring our outlets are kept clean for our visitors. Additionally, as part of a ‘One Team’ approach, you may be required to support our wider teams to meet the needs of the business where necessary. This may include working in the main shop, pop up locations, the warehouse or fulfilling online shop orders.
