Job Description: The Project Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control, procurement, and financial reporting for construction projects. This role is essential in ensuring project profitability, managing subcontractor relationships, and delivering value to our clients. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, manage, and maintain accurate cost reports, including cost and cash flow forecasting. Monitor project budgets and ensure financial targets are achieved. Manage variations, assess changes, and ensure proper cost control. Oversee subcontract and material procurement, including preparing enquiries, tender analysis, and placing orders. Manage subcontractor relationships, including valuations, monitoring changes, and final accounting. Ensure subcontract agreements align with project requirements and company standards. Assist with estimating and pricing new project opportunities, providing accurate and competitive cost proposals. Work closely with project teams to align financial goals with project delivery. Liaise with clients and stakeholders, providing clear updates on project costs and financial status. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all financial processes. Provide proactive solutions to cost-related challenges during the project lifecycle. Qualifications and Skills: Essential: A degree or equivalent qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within construction or refurbishment projects. Proficiency in subcontract and material procurement, including tendering, analysis, and recommendations. Strong understanding of cost reporting principles, including forecasting and cash flow analysis. Familiarity with construction contracts, variations, and change management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong stakeholder relationships. Desirable: Experience in refurbishment projects is highly advantageous. Proficiency in project management software such as Procore or ASITE. Personal Attributes: Strong organisational and time management skills.
