Description The day in the life of an Electronics Repair Technician is t o perform a wide variety of fault diagnosis/repair tasks in order to reduce on hand faulty material and drive systematic process improvements. This role gives you the opportunity to work with an incredibly skilled team of Operators & Technicians, manufacturing some of the most complex and precise electrical test instruments in the world To test and repair a wide variety of Fluke equipment to ensure adherence to defined specifications and quality standards. As required by the Production Team Leader, to assess/sign calibration certificates for defined products. Responsible to adherence to defined processes in assigned work area, including but not limited to; Standard Work Instructions, 5S Standards, Safe Systems of Work or Engineering Drawings. As appropriate, to train fellow Operatives/Technicians on defined processes as requested by the relevant Production Team Leader. Take part in the complex diagnosis and rework of Fluke product down to Component level and record and/or escalate fault(s) to Team Leaders/Manufacturing Engineering/Metrology/Quality Engineer(s) as required. Suggest and/or implement process/product improvements using the FBS (Fortive Business System) toolset in order to improve operating KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Cost. As required, partake in the creation, review and implementation of new procedures/work instructions, including suggesting improvements to currently issued procedures for both current and new products. As required and communicated by the Production Team Leader(s), take part in the diagnosis, root cause analysis & repair of customer DOA (Defective on Arrival) returns and loading into the specified Fluke system(s) in order to participate in improving the customer experience. Education: The ideal candidate will have qualifications similar to the below. We will however consider candidates who have relevant/equivalent on the job experience in the Electronics field.
