The Sustainable Curriculum programme is a cornerstone of the University of Leeds’ Climate Plan, driving the principle of "Providing a Sustainable Curriculum." Aimed at positioning the University as a leader in sustainability and climate change education, the programme supports our world-class research and integrates with the University’s ambitious Education Strategy and Curriculum Redefined programme. Running from 2022 to 2030, the Sustainable Curriculum embeds education for sustainable development across teaching and learning, ensuring social and environmental sustainability is woven into our portfolio. Led collaboratively by academics and professional services staff, the programme benefits from diverse representation across faculties, schools, and initiatives, fostering connections with themes like experiential learning, community engagement, and inclusivity to enhance curriculum design and professional development.
