Job Title: HR Assistant
Reporting To: HR Manager
Employment Basis: Part time 20 hours per week (flexible on days and times)
Salary: £12.50 per hour
Department/Location: Training Department, Trafalgar Way, Camberley, GU15 3BN
Main Purpose: The role of HR Assistant will report directly to the HR Manager for KTA. You will be responsible for the management of an effective payroll process and provision of HR administrative support. You will handle all administration duties and HR records of employees and assist with HR services to ensure that KTA achieves its targets.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Be the first point of contact for any staff HR queries.
2. Manage the new starter and leaver process including the arrangement of company property.
3. Ensure all staff records are up-to-date and accurate, including applications for prohibition checks and DBS.
4. Draft ad hoc HR letters.
5. Support with investigations, disciplinaries, and grievances as a note taker, also preparing invite and outcome letters.
6. Provide HR KPI information for various reports.
7. Proactively follow up on outstanding HR matters.
8. Monitor absence and report for payroll purposes.
9. Provide employee references.
10. Support with safeguarding committee and actions.
11. Administer Employee Benefits to ensure all employees are included in relevant schemes (e.g. Vitality, Pension, etc).
12. Add any necessary deductions (CSA & DEA) to our payroll system.
13. Input payroll data into the in-house system.
14. Create and distribute HR Monthly Newsletter.
