Role Overview
We are looking for an inspiring Art Teacher who can cultivate a love for artistic expression in students through diverse techniques and mediums. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging art lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the development of a creative learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging art lessons that encompass various artistic techniques and media.
2. Develop students' appreciation of art history and contemporary art practices.
3. Encourage creativity, experimentation, and self-expression among students of all abilities.
4. Assess and evaluate students' work, providing constructive feedback to enhance their artistic development.
5. Organize and coordinate art displays and exhibitions to showcase students’ creativity.
6. Maintain an inspiring, organized, and resourceful learning environment.
7. Collaborate with colleagues to support the school's creative initiatives and participate in school events.
Candidate Requirements
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. Experience teaching art at the secondary level in the UK.
3. A valid DBS check registered on the Update Service.
4. Strong classroom management and communication skills.
5. A passion for art education and a commitment to student development.
