Job summary
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Clinical Lead GP to join our team, where you will play a key role in supporting our surgeries in Milton Keynes. This exciting position offers a mix of clinical and leadership responsibilities, allowing you to make a direct impact on patient care while guiding and supporting your clinical team.
Main duties of the job
As the Clinical Lead GP, you will split your time 50/50 between clinical care and non-clinical responsibilities. In your clinical capacity, you will provide direct care to patients, ensuring high standards of evidence-based medicine and continuity of care. Your leadership duties will involve managing the clinical workforce, supporting the delivery of quality care, and helping shape the future of healthcare delivery in Milton Keynes. Your non-clinical time will be split between Whitehouse Surgery and Brooklands Health Centre, where you'll support the operational aspects of each site, help with clinical performance management, and ensure that the practices continue to deliver exceptional care to our communities.

Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Clinical Leadership: Provide guidance and support to GPs, nursing team and the admin staff. You'll lead clinical meetings, oversee audits, and ensure best practices are implemented.
2. Clinical Care: Deliver high-quality, patient-focused care, working collaboratively with colleagues across sites. You'll promote continuity of care and be an advocate for patient wellbeing.
3. Team Support: Work closely with the Group Lead GP and Business Manager to ensure smooth running of clinical and operational activities. Provide leadership and training to clinical staff, promoting a culture of learning and development.
4. Innovation & Improvement: Contribute to the design and delivery of a care model that focuses on patient-centred care, mental wellbeing, personalised care, and continuity.
5. Clinical Governance: Oversee clinical audits and ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and standards.

1. Registered with the GMC and on the NHS performers list with no restrictions on practice.
2. Experienced GP with a strong interest in leadership and clinical governance.
3. Proven leadership experience, including managing teams and guiding clinical practice.
4. Relevant experience in Primary Care.
5. Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
6. A passion for continuous improvement and delivering high-quality patient care.
7. Commitment to professional development, with a record of ongoing CPD.
