Position Overview We are looking for a dynamic Shopify Plus eCommerce Manager to oversee and optimise our global online stores operations. We are looking for a strategically-minded team member who is skilled in managing a Shopify Plus platform and have a passion for sustainability, growth, aligning with Woolroom's brand identity and growth goals. This role requires a keen understanding of the Shopify Plus platform, strong project management skills, and a deep passion for enhancing customer experience. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving online sales growth and improving our digital presence. You will support and underpin the Global Growth & Marketing team by achieving and exceeding its Global eCommerce objectives. You will report to the Rest of the World (ROW) Head of Digital and work in lockstep with our NA (North America) Growth & Marketing Manager. You will drive both the regional businesses (ROW & NA) to achieve their commercial growth objectives and in turn drive the overall global business, at scale and at pace. This is a mid-level management position (not a C-level, senior position), with a lot of opportunities for growth within the organisation. Key Responsibilities Platform Management: Oversee the overall use of the Shopify Plus platform, ensuring that it's optimised for the store's needs. This includes managing technical aspects such as API integrations, promo/discount engine management, plugins, and other tools that enhance website functionality. Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies for online marketing, sales, and operations. This often involves setting clear objectives for traffic growth, sales targets, customer acquisition, and retention. Marketing and Sales Oversight: Lead the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns including SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, and content marketing. Manage budgets and analyse the effectiveness of these campaigns to adjust strategies as needed. Customer Experience Management : Ensure that the online store provides a seamless and satisfying experience for customers. This includes overseeing website design, user interface, and user experience improvements. Analytics and Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to track growth and performance trends. Use data to make informed decisions about future actions and strategies. Inventory and Order Management: Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics team to manage inventory levels, category and product listing management, order fulfilment, and shipping processes, ensuring that customer orders are handled efficiently. Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing, customer service, and external partners to ensure that all aspects of the e-commerce operation align with the business objectives. Security and Compliance: Manage online security measures to protect customer data and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR for European customers and PCI-DSS. Innovation and Adaptation: Stay updated with e-commerce trends, Shopify updates, and best practices to continually innovate and adapt the store’s strategies and technologies. Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO): (CRO) User Experience Optimisation: Improving the design and functionality of the store to make navigation intuitive and the purchasing process as seamless as possible. This might include streamlining the checkout process, optimising product pages, and ensuring the site is mobile-friendly. (CRO) A/B Testing: Systematically testing different versions of web pages or elements within pages (like calls to action, images, product descriptions) to see which versions lead to higher conversion rates. (CRO) Personalisation: Using customer data to create personalised experiences. This can include personalised product recommendations, tailored email marketing campaigns, or custom promotions based on browsing behaviour. (CRO) Analytics and Data Analysis: Utilising analytical tools to track user behaviour and conversion funnels. This data is then analysed to identify areas where users drop off or where improvements can be made to increase conversions. (CRO) Customer Feedback: Gathering and acting on customer feedback to improve the user experience. This could be through direct surveys, usability testing, or analysing customer support interactions (CRO) Speed Optimisation: Ensuring the store loads quickly on all devices as speed is a crucial factor in keeping potential customers engaged and reducing bounce rates.
