A great permanent opportunity for a Science Teacher has become available at a secondary school in Salford – Greater Manchester. This secondary schools mission is to promote a culture of educational excellence, from within a caring and secure environment enriched with the values of discipline, mutual care and respect, which extends beyond the school into the wider community. This is a 5-form entry mixed secondary school for 11 to 16 year old’s, which opened in September 2023. From September 2024 the school will be responsible for a cohort of year 7 and 8 pupils only – there will be no teaching at KS4.
We are looking for a Science Teacher who;
* Can plan and deliver high quality science lessons in line with the KS3 curriculum
* Is able to teach all 3 Science subjects – Chemistry, Physics and Biology
* Can monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to support their academic development
* Can recognise student strengths, and challenge them to ensure up most succession
* Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Will put student’s needs first
To be considered for this Science Teacher role, you must;
* Hold a PCGE with QTS
* Be an Science specialist
* Be able to deliver engaging, informative and exciting lessons using a variety of methods
* Have right to work in the UK on a permanent basis
