We are seeking a Testing Engineer with a good understanding of fire dynamics and fire engineering principles. Knowledge of British Building Regulations and a proven track record in project management and supervision are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate and Manage Projects:
As a Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for facilitating and managing assigned projects, ensuring that objectives are met efficiently and effectively. You will monitor project progress, delegate tasks, and prioritise activities to ensure timely delivery.
2. Evaluate and Monitor Project Requests:
Assess project requests and determine priorities based on client needs and regulatory requirements. Develop project timelines, resource allocations, and monitor progress to ensure successful completion.
3. Develop Innovative Fire Engineering Solutions:
Utilise your knowledge of fire dynamics and fire engineering principles to create and implement innovative fire safety solutions for a variety of building types. Ensure compliance with UK fire safety legislation and international guidance documents. Provide on-site support and expertise, conducting thorough evaluations of fire safety systems and procedures. Work collaboratively with local authorities and key stakeholders to negotiate and implement effective fire safety measures. Prepare detailed reports and documentation, effectively communicating project findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders. Maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and other key stakeholders, ensuring open communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
* Postgraduate degree in Fire Safety Engineering or a similar engineering discipline.
* Strong understanding of fire dynamics and basic fire engineering principles.
* Problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
* Proven experience in report writing and excellent communication skills.
* Experience in negotiations with local authorities and other stakeholders.
* Knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and guidance as well as international guidance documents.
* Site-based experience and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Proficiency in multiple languages is advantageous.
Desirable Skills:
* Strong understanding of the planning process and delivery of project objectives.
* Knowledge of building regulation Eurocode standards.
Duration of Post: Permanent
Salary Range: £30,000 to £40,000 (Depending on experience)
