Swim Teacher Level 2 - School Swim (part time)
About us
LiveWire delivers a successful School Swimming and Water Safety Programme across five pools in Warrington to support primary schools in Warrington and surrounding areas to meet their curriculum requirements and enable their pupils to attain their KS2 curriculum standards. This role will report to the Aquatics Manager and will work with a team of qualified swim teachers to support the delivery of our successful School Swimming and Water Safety Programme.
The role
LiveWire are looking for enthusiastic, motivational and supportive qualified Level 2 Swim Teachers to support delivery of our School Swimming and Water Safety programme across our five pools. Successful swim teachers will support primary school pupils to achieve the KS2 school swimming curriculum criteria. The programme is delivered during term time in 10 week blocks during the Autumn, Spring and Summer Term, with five weeks delivery either side of half term breaks. Days and times of hours vary depending on site and school bookings.
What's needed?
Experience of delivering Swim England's Learn to Swim Framework is essential to support delivery of lessons to a range of ages and abilities. In addition to this, knowledge, understanding of and experience in delivering the KS2 National Curriculum School Swimming standards is required.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are required to support lesson participants and work with the wider Aquatics team.
Experience supporting children with additional needs would be beneficial but isn't essential.
Successful candidates will require a valid Swim England Level 2 Teaching Swimming qualification or equivalent and ideally hold an RLSS National Pool Lifeguard qualification (NPLQ) or RLSS National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC).
Ongoing training attendance to support pool safety qualification is required as part of this role.
An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
Annual Holiday Entitlement: This can be taken anywhere outside of the three blocks of 10 week delivery that take place during the Autumn, Spring and Summer Term.
