The role will require you to:
* Manage and develop the Merchandise Warehouse and Sample Room teams, including recruitment, induction, training, absence, time keeping and discipline.
* Train new team members of the Pick & Pack areas on the IT systems (Relag, use of handsets, SAP, processing of courier consignments).
* Co-ordinate work flows between relevant departments.
* Ensure optimum utilisation and efficiency within the storage/working area.
* Ensure highest levels of housekeeping (cleanliness, tidiness, workplace organisation).
* Support Management in identifying and implementing best working practises.
* Supervise the implementation of changes in relation to new work procedures.
* Maintain relevant key performance indicators and reports.
* Participate in departmental projects as required.
* Coordinate and carry out stock checks (cycle counts, ad-hoc).
* Investigate and resolve customer complaints within the Pick-Pack section.
A good candidate has:
* Line-management experience.
* Relevant, related work experience (knowledge of warehouse management and distribution essential).
* Good knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
* Good written and verbal skills.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
