Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced candidate to work with our Worcestershire-based client for their Parks Development Officer vacancy. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week (Mon – Fri). The role is based in the Redditch area and is offering hybrid working.
The incoming Parks Development Officer will provide support for the day to day delivery of the client’s green spaces services.
Main Duties:
* Liaise and manage relationships with customers, stakeholders, and contractors
* Develop service strategies and improvement plans
* Manage and maintain accurate data records
* Act as the lead officer for Stewardship applications and oversee ongoing contract management
* Support open space needs assessments through planning, consultation, and review processes
* Implement recommendations from the Leisure and Culture Strategy
* Provide feedback to the Planning Team on matters related to landscape, ecology, habitat, and biodiversity
* Coordinate and deliver the Green Flag Award programme in collaboration with team colleagues
* Lead on the marketing and promotion of services
* Enhance facilities within parks and open spaces to increase public usage and satisfaction
Essential Criteria:
* Demonstrable prior experience in a mid to senior-level role within a customer-focused environment
* Experience within Green Spaces or related field
* Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal)
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with internal and external agencies as required
Desirable Criteria:
* Previous experience or knowledge in biodiversity, landscape, or related areas is highly desirable
